BDF´s founder, honorary chairman, and former Danish minister for foreign affairs Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, has published a new book about his life after Danish politics. The book was introduced at a reception hosted by BDF on 26th October. BDF chairman Lene Espersen greeted guests and friends of BDF as Uffe Ellemann-Jensen looked back on key issues that he has continued to work with after his active political career. Uffe touched upon his great interest in the Baltic States, past and current European cooperation, human rights, and international foreign and security policy. In his book, he also writes about the early days of Baltic Development Forum, which he founded in 1998, with memories from the first BDF summit in Copenhagen in 1999 and the resultant years as a think tank and honest broker within the region.

BDF Director Flemming Stender commented, “It was great to welcome Uffe and guests to celebrate the launch of his new book. As an office we continue the work that Uffe started nearly 20 years ago, and occasions like this are valuable in reminding and reinforcing the founding mission of BDF, namely to advance co-operation, innovation and growth across the Baltic Sea Region. Thanks to all who stopped by and for a spirited discussion. Enjoy the book!”
