The Baltic Ports Organisation, a network of about 50 ports in the Baltic Sea Region, held its General Assembly 6-8 September 2007 in Sopot, Poland.

7 September 2007 At the General Assembly Mr. Julian Skelnik, Vice-President of Port of Gdansk, was elected new chairman of BPO. The Director of BDF, Hans Brask, addressed the Assembly as key-note speaker. As chairman of BPO, Mr Skelnik will be invited to participate in the upcoming meetings of the High-level Group on Transport for Sustainable Growth in the Baltic Sea Region, facilitated by BDF.
