Uffe Ellemann-Jensen's speech at the BSSSC conference in Ringsted

The BSSSC Annual Conference 2009 under the title "Regions taking the
Challenge - Between the EU Baltic Sea Strategy and the UN Climate
Summit" was held on 13-15 October in Ringsted, Denmark.
In his welcoming speech at the conference Uffe Ellemann-Jensen
mentioned that without the regional bodies like BSSSC and
Baltic Development Forum "we would probably not have come
to the point where our region is the first ever to get its own EU-strategy
– and thereby become a role-model for other regions within the EU".

The BDF Chairman also presented  the main conclusions of the BDF
Summit in Stockholm 5-6 October.
