Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance![]() Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance is a non profit, non governmental initiative with strong involvement from the Baltic business and political leaders. Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance is leading the way in Baltic Corporate Governance by helping to create better governed public and private companies Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG) pursues global class transparency and competitiveness of Baltic public, private and state or municipality owned companies through the promotion of leading corporate governance (CG) practices. BICG is the first name in corporate governance in the Baltic’s. As a non-governmental initiative BICG provides value to its stakeholders through leading CG education, development, promotion and networking. Baltic Sea States Subregional Cooperation (BSSSC)![]() The Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC) was founded in Stavanger, Norway, 1993. Its members are regional authorities (level directly below the national level authorities) of the 10 Baltic Sea littoral states. The BSSSC co-operates closely with other key Baltic Sea organisations and European institutions. Presently Mr Arne Øren, Chairman of the Eastern Norway County Network is the chairman of BSSSC. The work of BSSSC will be based on the Lisbon Agenda and the Gothenburg Agenda, the White Paper on Youth and the European Youth Pact, the Territorial Cooperation Programmes, the ENPI (European Neigbourhood and Partnership Instrument) and the Northern Dimension. The key issues are: 1. Transport and Infrastructure; 2. Maritime Policy; 3. Sustainable Development; 3.1 Energy Production and Energy Efficiency; 3.2 Quality of Life and Public Health; 4. Civil Security – with focus on the issue of Trafficking in Human Beings. Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists![]() Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists is an non political organisation, fully independent from any kind of governmental control or authority in all its activities and free to take its decisions in any sphere. At present, the Confederation unites 37 branch and 8 regional associations, over 2700 various enterprises in all. There are also LPK members who do not belong to associations and have joined the Confederation on individual basis. The LPK members include most Lithuanian production enterprises, banks, trading companies, representative offices of foreign firms, research institutes, and educational establishments. The activities of LPK members cover all the main branches of industry: nearly all goods manufactured in Lithuania are their products. The activities of the Confederation are based on the principle of collegiality. Urgent economic, financial, social and other issues are discussed and resolutions, statements etc. are adopted at the meetings of the Presidium and at consultative meetings. Much time is devoted to the analysis of draft laws and government resolutions as well as their amendments and supplements. 16 standing committees have a heavy workload making expert examinations of the draft legal acts, preparing draft legal acts themselves, and formulating proposals for the promotion and development of economic, financial and social activities. INTERREG III B![]() The Baltic Sea Region (BSR) INTERREG III B Neighbourhood Programme is an EU programme and belongs to one of the three strands of the European Community Initiative INTERREG III. BSR INTERREG III B helps regional partners form transnational partnerships in the Baltic Sea Region to work together on common projects. In these projects, regions from different countries address joint challenges in the field of infrastructure planning, environment, transport logistics and the development of cities and rural areas. The cooperating states are Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, Belarus and Russia. 120 projects are the result of this initiative. Investors‘ Forum![]() Investors‘ Forum is a voluntary, totally independent and self-managed business association of the largest and most active investors in the Lithuanian economy. Founded in June of 1999, Investors‘ Forum today has over 40 members. The Baltic Sea Forum![]() The Baltic Sea Forum is a non-profit organization which supports the economical, political and cultural co-operation in the Baltic Sea region. It was founded in 1992 in Helsinki as a German-Finnish organization named Pro Baltica Forum. It supports the co-operation with the Baltic States as well as with the whole Baltic region, sees to the relations between the European Union and Russia and the development of the south-north-relation between the Baltic and the Mediterranean.
