On 4 September, partners and stakeholders, from all around the Baltic Sea, will get together for a final meeting of the ONE BSR project. After two years of intense cooperation throughout the Baltic Sea Region, the final meeting’s participants will look at project’s results and discussions will focus on success stories and shared challenges within the region.
Key Messages
The ONE BSR final meeting puts three main sessions on the agenda to discuss a variety of topics.
First session will address talent retention in the region. ONE BSR developed a Toolkit to keep young talents in the region. Now challenges and possibilities will be tackled by looking at clear cases, such as language barriers for non-native students in Helsinki, talent retention in the live science sector in Stockholm and talent attraction in Estonia.
Tourism will be in focus of the second session. This session will discuss possibilities and challenges in key tourism markets such as the US and Japan. Aim is a explore and establish a common image of the Batltic Sea Region. An important step on this road is the ONE BSR Destination Guide.
The last session will look at various perspectives of Identity and Branding of the Region. Panel representatives from, Ars Baltica, Crossing the Baltic, Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation combined with academic and citizen’s view through blogging experience will be a great opportunity to sum up the ONE BSR journey and indicate the way forward in cross-border cooperation efforts.
